HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2964ORDINANCE NO. 2964 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.06.020 OF CHAPTER 17.06 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD REGARDING PREZONING OF PROPERTY KNOWN AS WIBLE NO. 6 ANNEXATION. City of WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission held hearings on a request by the City of Bakersfield to zone certain property now being annexed to said City and made several general and specific find- ings of fact which warranted a negative declaration of environ- mental impact; and WHEREAS, there appears to be no substantial detrimental environmental impact which c~uld result from this zoning action; and WHEREAS, the proposed zoning substantially conforms to the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of the motion and recommendation of the ]Planning Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the Planning Commission hearing, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council[ of the Bakersfield as follows: A. All the foregoing recitals are found to be true and correct. B. The Negative Declaration for this zoning action is hereby approved and adopted. C. That Section 17.06.020 of Chapter 17.06 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern located contiguous to the boundary of the City of Bakersfield and at the northwest corner of Planz and Wible Roads, known as the WIBLE NO. 6 ANNEXATION, upon the annexat[on of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are show~] on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: TO AN R-1 (ONE FAMILY DWELLING) ZONE A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, being a portion of the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.M., more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the west line of the east 75 feet with the north line of the south 45 feet of said Section said intersection being a point in the existing exterior Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence, clockwise along said exterior Corporate Boundary, completely circumscrib- ing the parcel of ].and herein described, to the Point of Beginning. Said parcel also being described as Tract No. 2570, recorded October 17, 1961, in Map Book 12 at Page 80; Tract No. 2603, recorded September 21, 1962, in Map Book 13 at Page 50; Tract No. 2604, recorded November 2, 1962, in Map Book 13 at Page 77; and Tract No. 2605 recorded November 30, 1962, in Map Book ]3 at Page 91, as said Tracts are recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of said Kern County. Exluding Lot 54 of Tract 2570 recorded October 17, 1961, in Map Book 12 at page 80 in the Office of the Kern County Recorder. Containing 30.25 acres, more or less. TO A C-1 (LIMITED COMMERCIAL) ZONE Lot 54 of Tract 2570 recorded October 17, 1961, in Map Book ]2 at Page 80 in the office of the Kern County Recorder. Containing 0.61 acres, more or ].ess.
