HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2987ORDINANCE NO. 2987 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.06.020 OF CHAPTER 17.06 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD REGARDING PREZONING OF PROPERTY KNOWN AS PACHECO NO. ANNEXATION. 10 WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the city of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission held hearings on a request by the City of Bakersfield to zone certain property now being annexed to said city and made several general and specific find- ings of fact which warranted a negative declaration of environ- mental impact; and WHEREAS, there appears to be no substantial detrimental environmental impact which could result from this zoning action; WHEREAS, the proposed zoning substantially conforms to the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the city Council has determined, after due con- sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the Planning Commission hearing, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Bakersfield as follows: All the foregoing recitals are found to be true and city of A. correct. That Section 17.06.020 of Chapter 17.06 (Zoning Map) the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to in the County of Kern located contiguous to the boundary of the City of Bakersfield and near the southwest corner of South "H" Street and Pacheco Road, known as the PACHECO NO. 10 ANNEXATION, upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which pro- perty are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: TO AN R-1 (ONE-FAMILY DWELLING) OR MORE RESTRICTIVE ZONE: A parcel of land situated in the County of Kern, State of California, being a portion of the northeast quarter of Section 24, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M., more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the south line of the north 45 feet with the west line of the east 186.06 feet of said northeast quarter, said intersection being a point on the south right-of-way line of Pacheco Road, a point on the existing corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield, and the Point of Beginning for this description; Thence (1) Southerly, westerly, northerly and easterly along the last named Corporate Boundary to the Point of Beginning. Containing 32.02 acres more or less. Excluding Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 13, 14 of Tract 2556 recorded August 17, 1961, in Map Book 12 at Page 59 in the office of the Kern County Recorder. Containing 0.65 acres, more or less. TO AN R-i-CH (ONE-FAMILY DWELLING-CHURCH) OR MORE RESTRICTIVE ZONE: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 13 & 14 of Tract 2556 recorded August 17, 1961, in Map Book 12 at Page 59 in the office of the Kern County Recorder. Containing 0.65 acres, more or less. This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexa- tion of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield. .......... 000 ..........
