HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2996ORDINANCE NO. 2996 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.06.020 OF CHAPTER 17.06 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD REGARDING PREZONING OF PROPERTY KNOWN AS RANCHO LABORDE ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission held hearings on a request by the City of Bakersfield to zone certain property now being annexed to said City and made several general and specific find- ings of fact which warranted a negative declaration of environ- mental impact; and WHEREAS, there appears to be no substantial detrimental environmental impact which could result from this zoning action; and WHEREAS, the proposed zoning substantially conforms to the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined, after due con- sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the Planning Commission hearing, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Bakersfield as follows: All the foregoing recitals are found to be true and City of A. correct. B. The Negative Declaration hereby approved and adopted. C. That Section 17.06.02U of for this zoning action is Chapter 17.06 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern located 2 contiguous to the boundary of the City of Bakersfield generally north of the Kern River, south of Norris Road, east of Calloway Drive and west of Coffee Road, known as RANCHO LABORDE ANNEXATION, upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the mad hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: RANCHO LABORDE SOUTH OF ROSEDALE HIGHWAY There are three zone designations or uses in the annexation area south of Rosedale Ilwy. They are 1, A - I~ght agriculture, 2, M-I, M-2, - industrial, 3, commercial. The zone designations are described as follows: A - tight agriculture: That area ~n Section 32 bounded on the northwest by the Cross Valley Canal, on the east by the east section line of Section 32, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, and the city limits, and on the south by the east west midsection line of said Section 32, Eownshlp 29 South, Range 27 East, and the city boundary line. Also that portion in Section 33 lying east of Coffee Road, west of the east line of the Frlant-kero Canal and the east line of the Frlant-Kern Canal extended, soutb of the Cross Valley Canal and north of the City of Bakersfield city limit. M-2 All that'area in the north half of Section 32, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, lying north of tile Cross Valley Canal, west of Coffee Road, south of Brlmhatl Road and east of Calloway Drive excepting therefrom the north 330 feet of tile west 660 feet thereof.
