AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 2.04.070 OF THE:
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO ORDER
OF BUSINESS AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 2.04.070 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
2.04.070 Order of business.
At the time set for regular meeting of the city council,
the members of the legislative body and the administrative staff
shall take their regular stations in the Council Chambers, and
the business of
and disposition
by the council:
A.
B.
C.
D.
E.
F.
G.
H.
I.
the council shall be taken up for consideration
in the following order, unless otherwise changed
Pledge of Allegiance;
Invocation;
Roll call;
Minutes, approval of;
Scheduled public statements;
Correspondence;
Council statements;
Reports;
Council action:
1. Consent calendar,
2. Bid opening and/or action,
3. Deferred business;
Hearings;
New Business;
Adjournment.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 18th day of January , 1984, by
