NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADDING SECTION 17.58.080 G. TO
THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO
QUARTERLY PAYMENT OF IN-LIEU PARKING FEES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 17.58.080 G. is hereby added to the Bakersfield
Municipal Code to read as follows:
17.58.080 In-lieu parking fees.
G. Notwithstanding any other provision hereof, except
Subsection F. of this Section, during the five years from first
issuance of a City business license to any business to which the
option of paying the in- lieu parking fee has been made available,
each such business may further elect to pay in-lieu parking fees
quarterly in advance, on or before January 10, April 10, July 10
and October 10 of each calendar year. No additional interest
shall be charged in relation to such election. Should payment of
in-lieu fees not be received on or before the date each quarterly
payment is due, the election to pay such fees quarterly shall be
deemed revoked and the balance of the annual payment for that
calendar year shall become due and payable as of that date.
Interest at the annual rate of twelve percent (12%) shall thereafter
be applied to the outstanding balance until paid. Payment of in-
lieu parking fees for each successive year shall then be due in
accordance with Subsection D. of this Section.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.
