NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 8.32.100 D. OF
THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO
INTEREST ON DELINQUENT REFUSE CHARGES.
BE
as follows:
IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
SECTION 1.
The title of and subsection D. of Section 8.32.100 of
the Bakersfield Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as
follows:
8.32.100 Billing, collection and payment of charges -
Refunds - Interest and Penalty.
D. All bills for the charges imposed under this
chapter are due and payable upon receipt. Bills not paid within
thirty (30) days after mailing shall be deemed delinquent and
thereafter interest at the rate of one percent (1%) per month,
compounded monthly, shall be added to the unpaid balance.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.
