AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.~4.330 J. AND
ADDING SECTIONS 17.04.330 K. AND 17.04.330 L.
TO THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO
HOME OCCUPATION PERMITS.

IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
SECTION 1.
Section 17.04.330 J. of the Bakersfield Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows~
17.04. 330
J. There shall be no processing or manufacturing of
goods, wares or merchandise on the premises unless the Planning
Director finds that, in addition to meeting all other criteria
applicable to the home occupation, the processing or manufacturing
can and will be done in such a manner that no noise, sound,
vibration, odor, fumes or light are emitted from the premises.
SECTION 2.
Section 17.04.330 K. is hereby added to the Bakersfield
Municipal Code to read as follows:
17.04.330 Holms_ ~3S~p~ t~p~·
K. It shall not involve the use of more than two
hundred fifty (250) square feet of the premises, not including a
vehicle meeting the criteria of subsection C. of this section.
SECTION 3.
Section 17.04.330 L. is hereby added to the Bakersfield
Municipal Code to read as follows;
17.04.330
L. No Class I flammable liquids or liquified flammable
gases may be used or stored on the premises, and not more than
the equivalent of seventy-five (75i cubic feet of other flammable
materials to be used in relation to the home occupation may be
stored on the premises at any one time.

SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
