AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.58.020 10.
THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO
EXEMPTIONS FROM OFF-STREET PARKING
REOUIREMENTS.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 17.58.020 10. of the Bakersfield Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
17.58.020 Schedule of parking requirements.
10. Delicatessens and take-out food (not to be eaten
on premises), auto repair, and all unlisted retail and commercial;
provided, however, that the following are exemptd from the require-
ments of this chapter: farmers markets certified by the Kern
County Agricultural C~mmission; sales of Christmas Trees, fire-
works or pumpkins; food vendors operating push-carts on sidewalks
with the written permission of the owner, tenant, or person in
possession of the premises in front of which the food is sold;
and occasional sales of beverages or foodstuffs by persons under
the age of 15 years adjacent to the residence of person involved
in such sales.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days fromm and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of June , 198__3, by
the following vote:
