HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2809ORDINANCE NO. 2809 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE; COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.06.020 OF CHAPTER 17.06 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, REGARDING PRE~ONING OF PROPERTY KNOWN AS RIO BRAVO NO. 2 ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission held a hearing on a request by the City of Bakersfield to zone certain property now being annexed to said City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the Planning Commission hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: That Section 17.06.020 of Chapter 17.06 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern located contiguous to the boundary of the City of Bakersfield, south of Highway 178 on the east and south sides of the Rio Bravo Golf Course, known as RIO BRAVO NO. 2 ANNEXATION, to prezone to an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) or more restrictive zone; and to prezone to an R-2 (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling) or more restrictive zone, upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: TO PREZONE TO AN R-1 (ONE FAMILY DWELLING) OR MORE RESTRICTIVE ZONE: PARCEL 1: A portion of the Southeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 29 South, Range 29 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, being in the County of Kern, State of California more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the East Quarter Corner of said section; Thence S 00003'20" West along the East line of said section, 2442.63 feet; Thence North Thence North Thence North Thence North Thence North Thence North Thence North Thence North the Point of 64000 29005 04015 12020 19o40 00" 02o40 00" 21030 00" 14o10,00" Beginning 00" West, 00" West 00" West 00" West East East West East 135.12 feet; 120.00 feet; 330.00 feet; 270.00 feet; 320.00 feet; 470.00 feet; 160.00 feet; 790.00 feet to Containing 8.316 Acres, more or less.
