AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF TBE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ADDING CHAPTER 12.57 TO
THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO
DIVING FROM PUBLIC BRIDGES.
WHEREAS,
purposes of diving,

NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Chapter 12.57 is hereby added to the Municipal

Diving From Any Public Bridge.
Violation - Penalty.
Severance Clause.
12.57.(110 Diving From Any Public Bridge. It is tinlawful for
any person to dive, jump or leap from any public bridge in the
City of Bakersfield into any water or waterway flowing thereunder.
12.57.020 Violation - Penalty. Any person violating any of
the provisions of this Chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine not
exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or by imprisonment not
exceeding thirty (30) days in the County Jail or by both such
fine and imprisonment.
