NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTIONS 15.24.010 AND
15.24.020 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATIVE TO ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 15.24.010 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Bakersfield is hereby amended to read as follows:
15.24.010 Adoption. Except as otherwise provided in this
Chapter, that certain code entitled "Unifo~] Code for the Abatement
of Dangerous Buildings, 1979 Edition," sponsored and copyrighted
by the International Conference of Building Officials, three (3)
copies of which have been filed with the Clerk cf the City for
use and examination by the public, is adopted by reference and
enacted as the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings
of the City for the purpose stated therein with the exceptions
and subject to the amendments and deletions of the provisions
thereof provided in this Chapter.
SECTION 2.
That Section 15.24.020 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Bakersfield is hereby amended to read as follows:
15.24.020 Deletions. The following section of the Uniform
Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1979 Edition, is
not adopted as part of this Chapter and is deleted:
Section 205, Board of Appeals.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 21st day of July , 1982, by
