RESOLUTION NO. -S 1 3 - 0 6
A RESOLUTION DECLARING REAL PROPERTY
SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE CITY AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
NEGOTIATE ITS SALE
WHEREAS, the City owns a fee simple interest 2300 Castro Ln, APN's: 023-
060-34 and 39 and,
WHEREAS, Frank Torres, an individual, has requested the City sell this property
show in Exhibit "A" attached hereto to build.
WHEREAS, Planning Department has found the sale of this property to be
consistent with the Metropolitan Bakersfield 2010 General Plan pursuant to Government
Code Section 65402.
WHEREAS, Bakersfield Municipal Code 3.20.125 authorizes the negotiated sale
of City property deemed to be "surplus".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
1. The foregoing findings and recitals are true, correct, and incorporated
herein.
2. Real Property located at 2300 Castro Ln is hereby declared surplus to the
City's needs and the Finance Director is authorized to negotiate its sale. The real
property is shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated as though fully set
forth.
