AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
ZONING THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF MC CUTCHEN ROAD AND ASHE ROAD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing on
action initiated by the Commission to zone that certain property
in the City of Bakersfield located at the Southwest corner of
McCutchen Road and Ashe Road; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, as a result of said
hearing, did make several general and specific findings of fact
which warranted a negative declaration of environmental impact
and zoning of the subject property to A (Agricultural), and the
Council has considered said findings and all appear to be true
and correct; and
WHEREAS, there appears to be no substantial detrimental
environmental impact which could result from the proposed project;
and
WHEREAS,

herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing
for zoning of said property, that such zoning should be authorized;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to
be true and correct.
2. An environmental assessment was made of the project,
and a Negative Declaration was adopted by the Planning Commission
after a public hearing thereon, and this Council hereby approves
and adopts the Negative Declaration.
3. Section 17.06.020 Zoning Map) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield be and the same is hereby amended
by establishing the land use zoning of certain property in said
City, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map
hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
TO AN A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE:
A parcel of land situated in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of Cali-
fornia, and being a portion of Section 33,
Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M.,
and more particularly described as follows:
The North 1,700 feet of the East 1,700 feet
of said Section 33.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the rights-of-way within
Ashe Road and McCutchen Road.
Containing approximately 64 acres.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 12th day of May , 1982, by
the following vote:
