HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2710ORDINANCE NO. 2710 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING CHAPTER 17.34 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTIONS 17.34.010, 17.34.020B AND 17.34.030 RELATIVE TO P (AUTOMOBILE PARKING) ZONE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: SECTION 1. Section 17.34.010 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 17.34.010 P (Automobile Parking) Zone. Land may be classified as being in the "P" Zone and subject to development standards related thereto or the zone may be used as an overlay to modify the "R" Zones specified in this Code, and subject to all restrictions applicable to said "R" Zones, thereby providing more restrictive development in said "R" Zones. SECTION 2. Section 17.34.020B of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 17.34.020 Uses Permitted. The following uses are permitted: B. Open air, temporary parking of automobiles, except trucks of over fifteen hundred pounds capacity. All such parking areas shall be paved on three (3) inches of base with asphaltic concrete, or any other street surfacing material approved by the City Engineer of a minimum thickness of two (2) inches, and adequate drainage provided. Section 17.34.030 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 17.34.030 Uses Permitted Subject to Planning Commission Review and Approval. The following uses may be permitted subject to review and approval by the Planning Commission in accordance with the procedures provided for Class "B" projects in Chapter 17.53: New and used automobile sales lots. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage. ......... o0o .........
