AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING CHAPTER 17.32 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTION 17.32.020D, SECTION 17.32.030 AND
SECTION 17.32.040 RELATIVE TO A ZONE AND
ADDING SECTION 17.32.050 RELATIVE TO A-20A
ZONE.

IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
SECTION 1.
Section 17.32.020D of Chapter 17.32 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 17.32.020 Uses Permitted.
D. Agricultural and horticultural uses
greenhouses, orchards, the keeping of one (1
the raising of field crops, tree crops, berry or bush crops or

SECTION 2.
Section 17.32.030 of Chapter 17.32 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
17.32.030 Uses Permitted Subject to Planning Director Review
and Approval. The following uses may be permitted subject to
review and approval by the Planning Director:

SECTION 3.
Section 17.32.040 of Chapter 17.32 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
17.32.040 Building Height, Yards, and Distance Between Buildings
on Same Lot. None, except that on parcels or lots of less than
fifteen thousand (15,000) square feet in area and recorded as a
separate lot in the office of the County Recorder prior to the
enactment of Ordinance No. 1010 (1954), the parcel or lot may be
occupied by not more than one (1/ dwelling unit. Regulations
shall be the same as required in the R-1 Zone, provided that all
buildings shall be located not nearer than one hundred and ten
(110) feet from the centerline of any existing or planned public
street or highway.
SECTION 4.
Section 17.32.050 is hereby added to Chapter 17.32 of
the Bakersfield Municipal Code to read as follows:
17.32.050 A-20A (Agricultural Twenty Acre Minimum Lot Size)
Zone. All permitted uses and regulations in the A-20A (Agricultural
Twenty Acre Minimum Lot Size) Zone shall be the same as for the A
Zone, except that the minimum lot size shall not be less than
twenty (20) acres.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall be posted
