AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING CHAPTER 17.24 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTIONS 17.24.020B, 17.24.040 AND 17.24.050
AND ADDING SECTION 17.24.035 RELATIVE TO
C-2 ZONE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 17.24.020B of Chapter 17.24 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsections; 44, 45,
and 47 to read as follows:
17.24.020 Uses Permitted.
B. Any of the following uses:
44. Car wash.
45. Fast food restaurants.
46. Hotels and motels.
47. Swimming pool and equipment sales to be contained
wholly within a building.

SECTION 2.
Section 17.24.040 of Chapter 17.24 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding subsections K and L to
read as follows:
17.24.040 Uses
K. Fence and

ducted wholly within a building, and provided further that said uses
shall not include outside storage unless such storage is screened
from public view by a fence enclosure not less than six (6) feet in
height and composed of masonry or chainlink with slats.

17.24.050 of Chapter 17.24 of the Bakersfield
hereby amended to read as follows:
17.24.050 Building Height. Building height shall not exceed
six (6) stories nor exceed one hundred (100) feet unless the
entire building sits back from each street, alley and lot line at
least one (1)

SECTION 4.
Section 17.24.035 is hereby added to Chapter 17.24 of
the Bakersfield Municipal Code to read as follows:
17.24.035 Site Plan Review. All permitted and conditional
uses pursuant to this Chapter shall be subject to site plan
review as provided in Chapter 17.53.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 31st day of March , 1982, by
