HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2702ORDINANCE NO. 2702 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING TITLE 17 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING CHAPTER 17.19 RELATIVE TO AND ESTABLISHING RH (RESIDENTIAL HOLDING) ZONE. BE as follows: Municipal Sections: IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield SECTION 1. Chapter 17.19 is hereby added Code to read as follows: Chapter 17.19 RH (RESIDENTIAL HOLDING) 17.19.010 17.19.020 17.19.030 to Title 17 ZONE the Bakersfield RH (Residential Holding) Zone. Uses Permitted. Building Height, Yards, Area Requirements and Distances Between Buildings. 17.19.010 RH (Residential Holding) Zone. The following regulations shall apply in the RH (Residential Holding) Zone unless otherwise provided in this Title. 17.19.020 Uses Permitted. A. Agricultural and horticultural uses including nurseries, greenhouses, orchards, aviaries or the raising of field crops, tree crops, berry or bush crops or vegetable or flower gardening on a commercial scale. B. The keeping of bovine animals, horses, mules and sheep, provided that the number thereof shall not exceed a number per acre equal to four (4) adult animals in any combination of the foregoing animals and their immature offspring. C. Accessory agricultural buildings and uses, including farm buildings, housing for agricultural workers, garages and implement shelters, provided no livestock or any building or enclosure used in connection with livestock shall be located nearer than one hundred (100) feet to the front lot line, nor nearer than fifty (50) feet to any existing dwelling on any contiguous property, nor nearer than one hundred (100) feet to any public park, school, hospital or similar institution. D. One-family residential uses and structures. E. On parcels or lots of less than fifteen thousand (15,000) square feet in area, said regulations shall be the same as required in the R-1 Zone, and provided that all buildings shall be located not nearer than one hundred and ten (110) feet from the center line of any existing or proposed public street or highway, and, unless the existence of an adequate community water supply is demonstrated to the satisfaction of the City, all residential buildings shall be located not closer than one hundred (100) feet apart. For those uses permitted pursuant to Section 17.19.020F, the setbacks of the zone applicable to the subject use shall apply. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage. .......... o0o ..........
