AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, REGARDING
PROPERTY KNOWN AS STOCKDALE NO. 12 ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located north of
Dos Rios Way, East of Montalvo Drive, south of Stockdale Highway,
and west of the Stockdale Country Club, known as Stockdale No. 12
Annexation, in a R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone, upon the annexation
of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of
which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a
part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as
follows:
TO AN R-1 (ONE FAMILY DWELLING) ZONE:
A parcel of land situated in the County of
Kern, State of California, and being a
portion of Section 33, Township 29 South,
Range 27 East, and Section 4, Township 30
South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M., and more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the North line of
said Section 4 from which point the North-
east corner of said Section 4 bears South
89°03'16" East, a distance of 1,346.49 feet,
said point being the Northeast corner of
Tract 2548 recorded August 17, 1961 in Map
Book 12 at Page 56 in the Office of the Kern
County Recorder;
Thence North 00°56'44" East, 85 feet to a
point in the North right-of-way line of
Stockdale Highway, said point also being a
point in the Existing Corporate Boundary of
the City of Bakersfield, and the True Point
of Beginning for this description.
THENCE (1) departing from the last named
Corporate Boundary, South 00°56'44" West, a
distance of 85 feet to the Northeast corner
of said Tract 2548;
THENCE (2) South 27o30'07" West, along the
East line of said Tract 2548, a distance of
2,886.49 feet to the Southeast corner of the
last named Tract, said corner being a point
in the Existing Corporate Boundary of the
City of Bakersfield;
THENCE (3) Westerly, Northerly and Easterly
along the last named Corporate Boundary to
the True Point of Beginning.
Containing 57.42 acres, more or less.

SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of June , 1981, by
the following vote:
