AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THOSE CERTAIN
PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
SOUTH OF PANAMA LANE AND WEST OF SOUTH "H"
STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing on
a petition to change the land use zoning of those certain properties
in the City of Bakersfield, located south of Panama Lane and west
of South "H" Street; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission as a result of said
hearing did make several general and specific findings of fact
which warranted a negative declaration of environmental impact
and a change of zoning of the subject property from P.U.D. to R-1
and R-2 and the Council has considered said findings and all
appear to be true and correct; and
WHEREAS, there appears to be no substantial detrimental
environmental impact which could result from the proposed project;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Plan-
ning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced
at the hearings for a change of zoning of said properties that a
zoning change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:

An environmental assessment was made of the project
and a Negative Declaration was adopted by the Planning Commission
after a public hearing thereon and this Council hereby approves
the Negative Declaration.

Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M., City of Bakers-
field, County of Kern, State of California,
according to the Kern County Sales Map No. 1
of the Lands of J. B. Haggin, filed May 3,
1889 in the Office of the Kern County Re-
corder.
EXCEPT THEREFROM the North 355 feet of the
East 1,160.7 feet and the North 505.7 feet
of the East 238.7 feet.
P.U.D. to R-2
Lot 1 of Section 25, Township 30 South,
Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M., City of Bakers-
field, County of Kern, State of California,
according to the Kern County Sales Map No.
of the Lands of J. B. Haggin, filed May 3,

EXCEPT THEREFROM the East 208.71 feet of the
North 208.71 feet and the North 355 feet of
the West 158 feet and the South 305 feet of
the West 1,080 feet and the South 155 feet
of the East 238.7 feet thereof.
