AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THOSE CERTAIN
PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 918 THROUGH 1012 BRLrNDAGE LANE (EVEN
ONLY).
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing on
a petition to change the land use zoning of those
in the City of Bakersfield, commonly known as 918
Brundage Lane (even only); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission as a result of said
hearing did make several general and specific findings of fact
which warranted a negative declaration of environmental impact
and a change of zoning of the subject property from R-3 to C-2
certain properties
through 1012
and the Council has considered said
true and correct; and
WHEREAS, there appears to
findings and all appear to be
be no substantial detrimental
environmental impact which could result from the proposed project;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Plan-
ning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced
at the hearings for a change of zoning of said properties that a
zoning change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to
be true and correct.
2. An environmental assessment was made of the project
and a Negative Declaration was adopted by the Planning Commission
after a public hearing thereon and this Council hereby approves
the Negative Declaration.
3. Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended
by changing the land use zoning of certain properties in said
City, the boundaries of which properties are shown on the map
hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
FROM AN R-3 (LIMITED MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELL-
ING) ZONE TO A C-2 (COMMERCIAL) ZONE:
A parcel of land situated in the Southwest
Quarter of Section 31, Township 29 South,
Range 28 East, M.D.B.&M. Said parcel also
being a portion of Block V of the Lowell
Addition filed November 25, 1898 in Map
Book 1 at Pages 13 and 14, Office of the
Kern County Recorder, being more particu-
larly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the
North right-of-way line of Brundage Lane and
the West right-of-way line of P Street;
Thence North along the West right-of-way
line of P Street, 150.00 feet to a point;
Thence leaving said West line Westerly and
parallel with the South line of said section,
110.50 feet to the True Point of Beginning;
Thence continuing Westerly and parallel with
the South line of said section, 400.00 feet
+ to the South right-of-way line of the Kern
~sland Canal;
Thence Northeasterly on and along said South
right-of-way line 440.00 feet + to a point
which lies 110.50 feet due West of the West
right-of-way line of P Street;
Thence Southerly along a line running parallel
with the West right-of-way line of P Street,
170.00 feet + to the True Point of Beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the I8th day of February , 1981, by
the following vote:
