BAKERSFIELD AMENDING TITLE 10 OF THE BAKERSFIELD
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO CRIME BY REPEALING,

10. 07. 080 AND 10. 07. 110 (GENERAL MISDEMEANORS) ,
SECTIONS 10. 08. 020 (a) , 10. 08 . 020 (b) , 10. 08. 020 (c) ,
10. 08 . 020 (d) , 10. 08. 020 (e) , 10. 08 . 020 (f) , 10. 08 . 020 (g) ,
10. 08. 020 (i) , 10. 08 . 020 (j ) , AND 10. 08. 020 (k)

10. 38 (PUBLIC SPEAKING) , AND BY AMENDING SECTION
10. 17. 030 (DANGEROUS WEAPONS IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS) .
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows :
SECTION 1.
Chapter 10. 02 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 2 .
Sections 10. 07 . 020 (Imprisonment in Lieu of Fine) ,
10. 07. 030 (Use of County Jail) , 10. 07. 040 (Property Damage) ,
10. 07. 080 (Sweepings or Rubbish on Streets and Alleys) , and
10. 07. 110 (Expectoration) of the Bakersfield Municipal Code are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 .
Sections 10 . 08. 020 (a) , 10. 08 . 020 (b) , 10. 08. 020 (c) ,
10. 08 . 020 (d) , 10. 08 . 020 (e) , 10. 08 . 020 (f) , 10. 08 . 020 (g) , 10. 08 . 020 (i) ,
10. 08. 020 (j ) and 10. 08. 020 (k) of the Bakersfield Municipal Code are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4 .
Sections 10. 17. 010 and 10. 17 . 020 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5.
Section 10. 17 . 030 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:
10. 17 . 030 Dangerous Weapons in Public Building Prohibited.
Except as permitted by state law, no person shall carry a dangerous
weapon, as defined in the Penal Code of the State of California, on
his person while in any public building within the City.
SECTION 6 .
Chapter 10. 28 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 7 .
Chapter 10. 38 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 8 .
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the City
Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30) days from
and after the date of its passage.
