AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTIONS 13.04.135(c)
AND 13.16.030(c)3 AND ADDING SECTION
13.04.135(d) TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, RELATIVE TO PERMIT
FEES.
WHEREAS, the administrative costs to process mobilehome
permits and inspection costs for mobilehome installations have
increased; and
WHEREAS, mobilehomes may now be placed on permanent
foundations requiring additional permit forms and field inspec-
tions; and
WHEREAS, California Administrative Code, Title 25,
Section 1028 specifies the installation permit fee for mobilehome
installations; and
WHEREAS, the fees herein provided are reasonably neces-
sary to administer and process permits and to defray the costs of
enforcement and are not levied for general revenue purposes; and
WHEREAS, the amendments herein provided are reasonably
necessary due to local conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 13.04.135(c) of the Municipal Code of the
City of Bakersfield is amended to read as follows:
13.04.135(c) The mobilehome installation permit fee for a
mobilehome not placed on a permanent foundation shall be thirty-
five ($35) dollars.
SECTION 2.
That Section 13.04.135(d) is hereby added to the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield to read as follows:
13.04.135(d) The mobilehome installation permit fee for a
mobilehome on a permanent foundation shall be one-hundred thirty-
five ($135) dollars.
SECTION 3.
That Section 13.16.030(c)3 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Bakersfield is amended to read as follows:
13.16.030(c) 3 A plan-checking fee shall not be required for
any dwelling or accessory building thereto of Type V construction
of less than two thousand (2,000) square feet in floor area and
not more than two stories high.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of July , 1980, by
