AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 7.52.190 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO RATES CHARGED
BY TAXICABS.
BE
as follows:
IT ORDIANED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
SECTION 1.
Section 7.52.190 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield is amended to read as follows:
7.52.190 Establishment of Rates
(a) Rates and fares charged to the public may be established
by filing a rate schedule with the City by the person holding a
valid permit. Such rate shall be effective on the date filed or
as specified in the rate schedule.
(b) The City Council may review such rates within thirty
days of the fi!ing of the rate schedule at a noticed public meeting.
If no such review is held by the City Council, the rates shall
remain as set forth in the schedule. If the City Council reviews
the rate schedule as set forth herein, the Council may modify such
rates or approve the rates as submitted.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of July , 1980, by
