NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD REPEALING PORTIONS OF CHAPTER
11.04 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, SPEED ZONES.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enact prima facie speed
limits on streets and roadways within the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, said prima facie speed limits are enacted pursuant
to the provisions of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, said prima facie speed limits are being established
by resolution of the Council of the City of Bakersfield, after a
traffic engineering survey was conducted; and
WHEREAS, said prima facie speed limits will be incorporated
into a "List of Speed Zones"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE
Bakersfield as follows:
for the City of Bakersfield.

Code of the City of Bakersfield are hereby repealed:

SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the City
Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30) days from
and after the date of its passage.
