AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, REGARDING
PROPERTY KNOWN AS STOCKDALE NO. 11 ANNEXATION. '
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located on the north
side of Stockdale Highway, easterly of the Kern County Fire Station,
and westerly of Los Portales, known as Stockdale No. ll Annexation,
in an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone, upon the annexation of said
property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which
property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of
this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows:
TO AN R-1 (ONE FAMILY DWELLING) ZONE:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern,
State of California, being a portion of Section 33,
Township 29 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M.,
and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the South line of said
Section 33 from which point the Southeast
corner of said Section 33 bears South 89043'
East, 1324.50 feet;
Thence North 0°17' East, 38.25 feet to the East
line of the former Buena Vista Canal;
Thence North 29036'25" East, along said East
line, 53.616 feet to the North line of County
Road No. 2341 (Stockdale Highway), being a
point on the Corporate Boundary of the City of
Bakersfield, and being also the True Point of
Beginning for this description;
THENCE (1) Northerly, Easterly and Southerly
along said Corporate Boundary to intersect the
North right-of-way line of said Stockdale
Highway, being also the North line of the South
85 feet of said Section 33;
THENCE (2) departing from said Corporate Boundary,
Westerly along the last named North right-of-
way line, 599.1 feet, more or less, to the
Point of Beginning.
Containing 6.91 acres, more or less.

SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 12th day of December , 1979, by
the following vote:
