A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DEDICATING PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
FOR A PORTION OF BURR STREET LOCATED WEST OF
GIBSON STREET
WHEREAS, the City owns property upon which is located a water tank and
booster station operated by the City Water Department; and
WHEREAS, said property was deeded to the City on July 21, 1982 and is
described in a Grant Deed recorded in the Kern County Hall of Records under Book
578, Pages 283-285; and
WHEREAS, the City has received a request from Bakersfield River Run RV Park
to dedicate additional right-of-way for a cul-de-sac along Burr Street; and
WHEREAS, the cul-de-sac is required to improve Burr Street for access to the
Bakersfield River Run RV Park located south of Burr Street; and
WHEREAS, the City proposes to dedicate a portion of the City Property as a
public street ("Dedicated Property"); and
WHEREAS, said Dedicated Property is described in Exhibits "A" and "B"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
1 . The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by
reference.
2. The City of Bakersfield hereby dedicates to the public a right-of-way (the
Dedicated Property) as shown on Exhibit "A" and described in Exhibit "B" for use as a
public street.

A parcel of land situated in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, being a portion of Section 26, Township 29 South, Range 27 East,
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, described as follows:
That certain portion of the parcel of land granted to the City of Bakersfield, per
deed thereof recorded on the 2nd day of August, 1982, in Book 5478 at pages
283 through 285 in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, and
more particularly described as follows:
Being a portion of Parcel 8 of Parcel Map 3889, in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, per map thereof recorded December 1, 1976
in Book 17 of Parcel Maps at Page 44, in the Office of the Kern County Recorder,
State of California, and more particularly described as follows:
1) Beginning at the North one-quarter corner of Section 26, T.
29 S., R. 27 E., M.D.B. & M., thence
2) S 00 53' 20" W along the centerline of said Section 26, a
distance of 1473.02 feet to a point which lies on the
Northeast property line of Pumping Plant No.7 of the Cross
Valley Canal, thence
3) N 33022' 25.5" W along said property line a distance of
79.65 feet to a point on the South right of way line of a street
known as Burr Street as shown on said Parcel Map 3889;

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that public hearing accepting public testimony will
be held before the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on February 28,2007 at 5:30 p.m.,
or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers of City Hall,
1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, 93301.
This hearing is to review and adopt a Resolution of the Council of The City of
Bakersfield, California to dedicate a public right-of-way for a portion of Burr Street west
of Gibson Street situated within the City of Bakersfield.
The City of Bakersfield has received a request from Bakersfield River Run RV Park to
dedicate additional right-of-way for a cul-de-sac at the terminus of Burr Street. The cul-
de-sac is required to improve Burr Street for access to the new River Run RV Park
south of CVC Pump Plant NO.7.
The city property currently has a water tank and booster station operated by the City
Water Department. The water booster station was part of the Fairhaven Industrial Fire
Protection District. The property was conveyed by the deed to the City of Bakersfield on
July 21, 1982.
The City of Bakersfield proposes to use a portion of this city property as a public street
providing access to the properties at the terminus of Burr Street and the Cross Valley
Canal Pump Plant NO.7.
