NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 3.14.130(3)
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO NEPOTISM.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 3.14.130(3) is amended to read as follows:
(3) Except for (1) above, appointments of persons who are
related to a City employee may be approved if the appropriate Board
determines that a conflict does not or will not exist.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30) days
from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 12th day of September , 1979, by
