4426
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION i 1.12.040 BY ADDING ANNEXATION NOS. 486,496
AND 636 TO WARD 4.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCQ) adopted a resolution
for Annexation Nos. 486, 495 and 535 recently ordering the territories annexed to the City of
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is required
to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed the annexations for the territory to the
City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in the attached Exhibit "A" for
Annexation Nos. 486, 495 and 535 and shown in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and incorporated as
though fully set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 486 shall be included in Ward 4.
Section 3.
Annexation No. 495 shall be included in Ward 4.
Section 4.
Annexation No. 535 shall be included in Ward 4.
Section 6.
Section 1.12.040 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding
thereto the legal descriptions set forth in Exhibit "A".
Section 6.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal
Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the City
of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.

That parcel of land being portions of Sections 11 and 12, Township 29 South, Range 26
East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, County of Kern, State of California, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast comer of said Section 11, said point also being the Northwest
comer of said Section 12, also being the intersection of the centerlines of Snow Road
(County Road No. 843) and Allen Road (County Road No. 67 and 843), also being the
Northeast comer of Lot 1 of Sales Map of Lands of Kern County Land Company, filed
for record on January 19, 1891 in the Office of the Kern County Recorder, and also being
the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence (1) North 89056'08" East along the North line of said Section 12, and said
centerline of Snow Road (County Road No. 843), a distance of 30.00 feet
to a point on the Northerly prolongation of the East right of way line of
said Allen Road (County Road No. 67 and 843); .
Thence (2) South 00048'38" West along said Northerly prolongation line, a distance
of 30.00 feet to a Northwesterly comer of the existing city corporate
boundary, said point also being the intersection of the South right of way
line of said Snow Road (County Road No. 843) with said East right of
