AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THOSE CERTAIN
PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
NORTH OF PACHECO ROAD AND EAST OF STINE ROAD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing on
a petition to change the land use zoning of those certain properties
in the City of Bakersfield, located north of Pacheco Road and east
of Stine Road; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission as a result of said
hearing did make several general and specific findings of fact
which warranted a negative declaration of environmental impact
and a change of zoning of the subject property from A (Agricultural)
to M-1-D (Light Manufacturing-Architectural Design) - Parcel 1;
and from A (Agricultural) to M-2 (General Manufacturing) - Parcel 2,
and the Council has considered said findings and all appear to be
true and correct; and
WHEREAS, there appears to be no substantial detrimental
environmental impact which could result from the proposed project;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Plan-
ning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced
at the hearings for a change of zoning of said properties, that
a zoning change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1o All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to
be true and correct.
2. An environmental assessment was made of the project
and a Negative Declaration was adopted by the Planning Commission
after a public hearing thereon and this Council hereby approves
the Negative Declaration.
3. Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended
by changing the land use zoning of certain properties in said
City, the boundaries of which properties are shown on the map
hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
FROM AN "A" (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE TO AN M-1-D (LIGHT
MANUFACTURING-ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN) ZONE:
PARCEL 1:
Being a portion of the South one-half of Section 14,
Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M. in
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Parcel
Map 3705 recorded August 8, 1977 in Book 19 at
Page 5 of Parcel Maps in the Office of the
County Recorder, said corner being on the West
line of said Section 14;
thence (1) North 00000'52" East along said West
line, a distance of 659.33 feet;
thence (2) departing from said West line of
Section 14, North 89038'34" West, a distance of
1321.31 feet;
thence (3) South 00°00'32" West, a distance of
329.67 feet;
thence (4) South 89038'34" East, a distance of
1321.313 feet;
thence (5) South 89°37'16" East, a distance of
1564.65 feet;

right-of-way of Wible Road.
FROM AN "A" (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE TO AN M-2 (GENERAL
MANUFACTURING) ZONE:
Being a portion of the South half of Section 14,
Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M. in
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Parcel
Map 3705 recorded August 8, 1977 in Book 19 at
Page 5 of Parcel Maps in the Office of the
County Recorder, said corner being on the West
line of said Section 14;
thence departing from said West line of said
Section 14, North 89038'34" West along the
North line of said Parcel Map 3705, a distance
of 1321.37 feet to the Northeast corner of said
Parcel Map 3705 and the True Point of Beginning;
