AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, REGARDING
PROPERTY KNOWN AS PANAMA NO. 2 ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located on the
northwest corner of Panama Lane and Wible Road and known as
PANAMA NO. 2 ANNEXATION, in an R-1 (One family dwelling) Zone and
in an MH (Mobilehome) Zone, upon the annexation of said property
to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are
shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance,
and are more specifically described as follows:
TO AN R-1 (ONE FAMILY DWELLING) ZONE:
Parcel 1
Lot 29 and the South 600 feet of the West 330 feet of
Lot 30 of Section 23, Township 30 South, Range 27 East,
M.D.B.&M., in the County of Kern, State of California;
according to the Kern County Sales Map No. 1 of Lands
of J. B. Haggin filed in the office of County Recorder
of said County on May 3, 1889.
Parcel 2
The East half of Lot 32 and the South 14.83 feet of the
East half of Lot 31 of Section 23, Township 30 South,
Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M., in the County of Kern, State
of California; according to the Kern County Sales Map
No. 1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin filed in the office of
County Recorder of said County on May 3, 1889.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way within Panama Lane
and Wible Road.
TO AN MH (MOBILEHOME) ZONE:
Lot 30; Lot 31; and Lot 32 of Section 23, Township 30
South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M., in the County of Kern,
State of California; according to the Kern County Sales
Map No. 1 of Lands of J. B. Haggin filed in the office
of County Recorder of said County on May 3, 1889.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the South 600 feet of the West 330
feet of said Lot 30.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the East half of said Lot
and the South 14.83 feet of the East half of said
Lot 31.

ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way within Panama
Lane and Wible Road.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of May , 1979, by
