AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
IN THE REAR OF 3401 AND 3421 WILSON ROAD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing on
a petition to change the land use zoning of that certain property
in the City of Bakersfield, located in the rear of 3401 and 3421
Wilson Road; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission as a result of said
hearing did make several general and specific findings of fact
which warranted a negative declaration of environmental impact
and a change of zoning of the subject property from R-1-CH (One
Family Dwelling-Church) and C-2-D (Commercial-Architectural Design)
to R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural Design) and
the Council has considered said findings and all appear to be
true and correct; and
WHEREAS, there appears to be no substantial detrimental
environmental impact which could result from the proposed project;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Plan-
ning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced
at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a
zoning change should be authorized; and
~'~{EREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to
be true and correct.

by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
From an R-1-CH (One Family Dwelling-Church) and
a C-2-D (Commercial-Architectural Design) Zone
to an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-
Architectural Design) Zone:
A portion of the east half of Lot 17, sales map of
lands of Kern County Land Company, Section 11, T30S,
R27E, MDM, City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, more
particularly described as follows:
PARCEL 1
Beginning at the northwest corner of the east half
of said Lot 17, thence southerly along the west line
of said east half, 410.53 feet to the True Point of
Beginning; thence continuing along said west line 250
feet to the south line of said Lot 17; thence easterly
along said south line 130.00 feet; thence northerly
parallel to said west line 250 feet; thence westerly,
parallel to said south line 130.00 feet, more or less,
to the True Point of Beginning.
PARCEL 2
All that portion of Parcels 1 and 2 of Parcel Map 4359,
recorded in Book 20, of Parcel Maps, at Page 107 in the
office of the Kern County Recorder, lying in the south
381.03 feet of said Parcel Map.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 28th day of March , 1979, by
