AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING CHAPTER 17.27 OF TITLE
17 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING AUTOMOTIVE
REPAIR IN THE C2 ZONE AND SETTING CERTAIN
MINIMUM STANDARDS THEREFOR.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 17.27.020 of Chapter 17.27 of Title 17 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is hereby amended by
amending subsections 18 and 32 thereof in their respective entireties
to provide as follows:
(18) Garages for mechanical repair of motor vehicles but
not including painting or body or fender repair; provided further
that said uses shall not include the outside storage of junk or dis-
abled vehicles or parts nor the outside storage of automotive supplies
or accessories unless such storage shall be screened from public
view by a fence enclosure not less than six feet in height composed
of masonry or chain link with slats.
(32) Storage garages for motor vehicles including mechani-
cal repair and servicing incidental thereto but not including paint-
ing or body or fender repair; provided further that said uses shall
not include the outside storage of junk or disabled vehicles or
parts nor the outside storage of automotive supplies or accessories
unless such storage shall be screened from public view by a fence
enclosure not less than six feet in height

SECTION 3.
