AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, REGARDING
PROPERTY KNOWN AS A PORTION OF KERN RIVER
NO. 6 ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located on the
south side of Stockdale Highway between Renfro Road and Allen
Road, known as a portion of Kern River No. 6 Annexation, in an R-S
(Resid~Dtiat - Suburban) Zone, upon the annexation of said
property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which
property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of
this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows:
R-S (Residential - Suburban) Zone:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern,
State of California, being portions of Sections
2 and 3 of T30S, R26E, M.D.M.
Beginning at the intersection of the north right-
of-way line of the Cross Valley Canal with the west
line of the east 30 feet of said Section 3;
Thence (1) northerly along last named west line a
distance of 2,635~ feet to a point in the south
line of the north 30 feet of said Section 3, said
point being a point in the southerly right-of-way
line of Stockdale Highway;
Thence (2) easterly along last named southerly
right-of-way line through Sections 2 and 3 to
the east line of said Section 2;
Thence (3) south 0°31'42%' west along the east line
of said Section 2 to a point in the northerly right-
of-way line of the Cross Valley Canal;
Thence (4) westerly along said northerly right-of-
way line of said Cross Valley Canal to the True
Point of Beginning.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.
