AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, REGARDING
PROPERTY KNOWN AS WIBLE NO. 3 ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning
should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located east of
Wible Road, approximately 650 feet north of Ming Avenue, known as
Wible No. 3 Annexation, in a C-2-D (Commercial-Architectural
Design) Zone, upon the annexation of said property to the City of
Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property are shown on the
map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance, and are
more specifically described as follows:
To a C-2-D (Commercial-Architectural Design) Zone:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State
of California, being a portion of Sections 1 and 2,
Township 30 South, Range 27 East, MDB&M, more particu-
larly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the west line of said Section
1 lying N 0036'05" E, 631.89 feet, from the southwest
corner of said Section 1, said point being in the ex-
isting exterior Corporate Boundary of the City of
Bakersfield;
THENCE (1) westerly along said exterior Corporate
Boundary N 89°20'26" W, 406.05 feet to the westerly
right-of-way line of U.S. Freeway Route 99;
THENCE (2) departing from said Corporate Boundary,
northerly along said westerly right-of-way line, N
4048'53" E, 71.10 feet, to the westerly extension of
the north line of that parcel of land deeded to Eddie
D. Bell and Dolores E. Bell recorded in Book 5000 at
Page 1136 of the Official Records of said Kern County;
THENCE (3) easterly along said westerly extension S
89020'26" E, 1007.10 feet, to the northeast corner of
last named parcel;
THENCE (4) S 3022'26" W, 61.02 feet;
THENCE (5) S 5055'45" W, 10.00 feet, to a point in
said exterior Corporate Boundary;
THENCE (6) westerly along said Corporate Boundary
to the Point of Beginning.
EXCEPTING therefrom the right-of-way within
U.S. Freeway Route 99.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the l~th day of December , 1978, by
