AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING CHAPTER 11.04 (TRAFFIC
CODE), OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, BY ADDING SECTION 11.04.465,
HANDICAPPED PARKING, AND SUBSECTION
11.04.470(a) (5) REGARDING BLUE CURBS.
BE
as follows:
IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
SECTION 1.
That Section 11.04.465 of Chapter 11.04 of Title 11 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is hereby added as follows:
11.04.465 Handicapped Parking. The Traffic Authority shall
designate parking stalls or spaces for exclusive use by the physically
handicapped in accordance with California Vehicle Code requirements
for on-street parking and off-street parking facilities owned or
operated by the City.
SECTION 2.
That Subsection (5) of Section 11.04.470(a) of Chapter
11.04 of Title 11 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield
is hereby added as follows:
11.04.470(a) (5) Blue shall mean no stopping, standing or parking
at any time except by a vehicle which displays a distinguising
license plate or placard issued to physically handicapped persons
or disabled veterans pursuant to California Vehicle Code requirements.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from and
after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
