RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1025
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
ORDER THE ABANDONMENT OF TWO 50 FT. PORTIONS
OF DEDICATED VEHICULAR ACCESS RIGHTS ON THE
SOUTH SIDE OF WHITE LANE BETWEEN THE ARVIN-
EDISON CANAL AND MEXICALI DRIVE IN THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California,
hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION 1.
That it is the intention of the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, California, to order the abandonment of two 50 ft.
portions of dedicated vehicular access rights on the south side of
White Lane between the Arvin-Edison Canal and Mexicali Drive in
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more
particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a
part hereof. The Council of said City hereby elects to proceed
under the provisions of Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the
California Streets and Highways Code ("the Public Streets,
Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law").
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, ref-
erence is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue,
Bakersfield, California.
SECTION 2.
That the hour of 7:00 P.M. on June 3, 1987, in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue,
Bakersfield, California, be and the same is hereby fixed as the
time and place when and where all persons interested in or object-
ing to the proposed vacation may appear before the City Council
and be heard.
SECTION 3.
That the City Clerk shall cause notice of the date, hour
and place of hearing on this resolution to be published for two
successive weeks prior thereto in the Bakersfield Californian and
the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Bakersfield,
California, shall cause "Notice of Abandonment" to be posted as
required by Section 8323 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.

SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this reso-
lution and shall cause the same to be posted on the bulletin board
at the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, in the City of Bakersfield,
California, within fifteen (15) days after its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on __ Ma"'y' 6, 1987 , by

in Section 16, T. 30 5., R. 27 E., M.D.B. & M. in the State of California,
County of Kern, City of Bakersfield more particularly
Described as follows:
The West 50 feet and the east 50 feet of the North line of Parcel 3 as said
parcel is shown on Parcel Map no. 8159 recorded in Book 34 of Parcel Maps,
Page 51 in the office of the Kern County Recorder.

CAROL WILLIAMS, Being duly sworn, deposes and says:
That she is the duly appointed, acting and qualified City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield; and
that on May 14 , 19 87 , she posted on the Bulletin Board
at the City Hall, a full, true and correct copy of a Resolution of Intention passed by the Council
of said City at a meeting thereof duly held on May 6 ,19 87
