AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADDING SECTION 3.18.110(c) (1)
AND SECTION 3.18.110(e) TO THE MUNICIPAL
CODE RESPECTING LEADMEN AND SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS.
BE IT ORDAINED by
as follows:
SECTION 1.
There is hereby added Section

3.18.110(c) (1) to read as
3.18.110(c) (1) Leadman Responsibilities.
the classification of Equipment Operator II,
Tree Maintainer II or Sewer Maintainer is assigned to leadman
responsibilities for the majority of a shift to a project, truck or
job, he shall receive a salary adjustment increase of five percent
(5%) during the period of such assignment.
When an employee in
Equipment Operator III,
SECTION 2.
There is hereby added Section 3.18.110(e) to read as
follows:
3.18.110(e) Shift Differential. Commencing October 1, 1978,
a shift differential of twenty-five cents per hour will be paid
any blue or white collar employee when the majority of their shift
falls between the hours of 3 P.M. and 7 A.M. except for the
positions of Auditorium Maintainer I and Auditorium Maintainer II.
SECTION 3.
The operative date of this ordinance shall be the first
pay period in July, 1978, upon the effective date of the ordinance.
