AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 4004 WHITE LANE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing on
a petition to change the land use zoning of that certain property
in the City of Bakersfield, commonly known as 4004 White Lane;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Plan-
ning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced
at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a
zoning change should be authorized, subject to the following con-
ditions:

Install curb, gutter, sidewalk, and 18 feet
of pavement along Akers Road (approximately
375 feet), or contract to construct same
prior to adoption of the ordinance amending
said zoning boundaries by the City Council.
Offer of dedication by owner to the City of
Bakersfield of 14 feet of real property along
the north property line for future extension
of Alum Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Amending the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-1-CH
(One Family Dwelling-Church) Zone of that
certain property in the City of Bakersfield,
commonly known as 4004 White Lane, being
more particularly described as follows:
A portion of Section 14, Township 30
South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M., in the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, being more particularly
described as follows:
The west 264 feet of the southwest 1/4 of
the southwest 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of
said Section 14.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the south 275 feet of
the west 231 feet of the southwest 1/4 of
the southwest 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of
said Section 14.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way
within Planz Road and the right-of-way
within Akers Road.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 29th day of March , 1978, by
the following vote:
