5.1a Bakersfield Sports Village Project Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for GPA/ZC
06-1002 (City of Bakersfield) located north of Taft Highway (State Route 119), west of Ashe
Road, east of Gosford Road and south of the City of Bakersfield Wastewater Treatment
Plant No. 3. (Environmental Impact Report on file)
The proposed project consists of amendments to the Land Use Element of the Metropolitan
Bakersfield General Plan and to the Bakersfield Zoning Ordinance in order to accommodate a
222-acre development within the City of Bakersfield comprised of a 163-acre sports complex, 37
acres of commercial development, City corporation yard annex, police and fire stations, and
additional City facilities and offices. (Ward 6)
RECOMMENDATION: Approve Certification
