2. PUBLIC STATEMENTS

3. CONSENT CALENDAR
l a. Minutes of the April 9, 2007 meeting.
b. Approval of department payments from April 27, 2007 to
May 31, 2007 in the amount of $253, 201.33.
c. Resolution of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency to RAOO2-07
find that Fiscal Year 2007-08 planning and administrative
expenses from the Agency's Low and Moderate Income
Housing Funds are Necessary for the Production,
Improvement or Preservation of Low and Moderate Income
Housing in the City of Bakersfield.
d. Exclusive Negotiation Agreement with AMCAL Multi- RA07-002
Housing Inc. for the development of approximately 4,000 to
7,000 square feet of retail and 53 units of affordable
housing located at 701 Union Avenue.

Motion by Cohen, seconded by Takii, to approve Consent ABS BENTLEY
Calendar items 3.a. through 3.d.
4. PUBLIC HEARINGS
Resolution approving the sale of real property by the RAOO3-07
a. DEED 6714
Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency for $40,000 to Hybrid
l Construction in accordance with Health and Safety Code
Section 33013 (b) for a small housing project within the
Southeast Bakersfield Redevelopment Project Area.

Hearing opened at 4:16 p.m.
No one spoke.
Hearing closed at 4:17 p.m.
Motion by Mishoe, seconded by Koman, to approve the
Resolution.
5. REPORTS
None.
6. DEFERRED BUSINESS
None.
7. NEW BUSINESS
a. Proposed Budget for the Bakersfield Redevelopment
Agency (RDA) - Fiscal Year 2007-08.
EDCD Director Kunz gave a computer presentation
assisted by EDCD Director Barnhard. City Manager Tandy
made comments.
Motion by Cohen, seconded by Takii, to authorize the
transmittal of the Fiscal Year 2007-08 RDA budget to the
City Council for approval.
8. AGENCY STATEMENTS
Cohen requested additional information regarding item 3.b.
and requested staff include an Agency member in future
processes in order to avoid a sense of disconnect regarding
projects. City Manager Tandy responded.
Mishoe and Prince agreed that an Agency member should be
included in the process of future projects.
