AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAiL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, REGARDING
PROPERTY KNOWN AS "COLLEGE NO. 2" ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Com~nission has held a public hearing on
a motion of the Planning Commission to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and the recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should
be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the CounciI of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
that certain property in the County of Kern located on the southwest
corner of the easterly extension of College Avenue and Morning Drive,
known as "COLLEGE NO. 2" Annexation in an R-1 (One Family Dwelling)
Zone upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described
as follows:
To an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State
of California, being a portion of Section 25, Town-
ship 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.M. and Section 30,
Township 29 South, Range 29 East, M.DoM., more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the north line
of said Section 30 with the east line of the
west 55 feet of said Section 30, said point being a
point in the exterior Corporate Boundary of the
City of Bakersfield;
Thence ll) departing from said exterior boundary
south 0v 04' 35" west along last named east line
a distance of 1022.39 feet;
Thence (2) south 89° 19' 30" west a distance of
566.29 feet;
Thence (3) south 0° 04'
272.00 feet to a point
line of County Road No.
35" west a distance of
in the north right-of-way
2081;
Thence (4) south 89° 19' 30" west along said
north right-of-way line and extensions thereof a
distance of 811.74 feet to a point in the west
line of the east half of the east half of said
Section 25;
Thence (5) north 0° 04' 30" east along said west
line a distance of 1293.43 feet to a point in the
north line of said Section 25, said point being a
point in said exterior Corporate Boundary;
Thence (6) north 89° 17' 00" east along said
exterior Corporate Boundary a distance of
1378.07 feet to the Point of Beginning.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HERtEBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the oth day of February, 1978~ by the
