AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER
9.32 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO ADVERTISING
MATTER AND SAMPLES.
WHEREAS, in September, 1986, the City Council adopted Ordinance 3070 N.S.;
and
WHEREAS, that ordinance added Chapters 8.28, 8.29, 8.30 and 8.31 to the
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the title of that ordinance, Chapter 9.32 of the Municipal
Code was to be repealed because the new chapters covered that same area of law and
made Chapter 9.32 obsolete or sections were preempted by state law; and
WHEREAS, no language appears in Ordinance 3070 N.S. which actually repeals
Chapter 9.32.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Chapter 9.32 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provIsions of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after
the date of its passage.
