AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER
12.24 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO LOOSE MATERIAL.
WHEREAS, in September, 1986, the City Council adopted Ordinance 3070 N.S.;
and
WHEREAS, that ordinance added Chapters 8.28, 8.29, 8.30 and 8.31 to the
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the title of that ordinance, Chapter 12.24 of the
Municipal Code was to be repealed because Chapter 8.29 included the same language
contained in Chapter 12.24; and
WHEREAS, no language appears in Ordinance 3070 N.S. which actually repeals
Chapter 12.24, and it should be repealed to eliminate any inconsistency or duplication.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
SECTION 1.
Chapter 12.24 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provIsions of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after
the date of its passage.
