NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ADDING CHAPTER 1.98 TO
THE MUNICIPAL CODE, MAKING SECTION 1094.6
OF THE CODE OF CIVIL PROCEDURE APPLICABLE
IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Chapter 1.98 is hereby added to Title 1 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield as follows:

1.98.020

TIME FOR FILING WRITS OF MANDATE
Section 1094.6 of Code of Civil Procedure Applicable
in City of Bakersfield
Application of Section
1.98.010 Section 1094.6 of Code of Civil Procedure Applicable
in City of Bakersfield. Section 1094.6 of the Code of Civil Pro-
cedure of the State of California relating to time for filing Writs
of Mandate, shall be and is applicable in the City of Bakersfield.
The provisions of such section shall prevail over any conflicting
provision in any otherwise applicable law relating to the subject
matter.
1.98.020 Application of Section. Section 1094.6 of the Code
of Civil Procedure applies to decisions made, after hearing, sus-
pending, demoting, or dismissing an officer or employee, revoking
or denying an application for a permit or a license, or denying an
application for any retirement benefit or allowance.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.
