NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD KNOWN AS
LOTS 1 THROUGH 14, TRACT 3868.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the
provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield,
the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively,
on a petition to change the land use zoning of that certain property
in the City of Bakersfield, known as Lots 1 through 14, Tract 3868;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recormnendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the
hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning change
should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Amending the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-2-D
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural
Design) Zone of those certain properties in the
City of Bakersfield known as Lots 1 through 14,
Tract 3868 being more particularly described as
follows:
From an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone to an
R-2-~ (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling -
Architectural Design) Zone:
A portion of the west half (W ½) of the south-
west quarter (SW ~) of Section 13, Township 29
South, Range 28 East, Mount Diablo Meridian in
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, more
particularly described as follows:
Con~nencing at the southwest corner of said
Section 13; thence north 00°01'10" west along
the west line of said Section 13, 414.658 feet;
thence north 89°29'05" east parallel to and
414.658 feet from the south line of Section 13,
331.222 feet to the True Point of Beginning,
said line also being the south line of that
property condemned by Decree issued out of the
Superior Court of Kern County in Case Number
90441, a certified copy thereof recorded in
the office of the County Recorder of said County
in Book 397~ o~ Official Records at Page 1~5;
thence continuing along said line north 89 29'
05" east, 255.167 feet; thence north 00°01'10"
west along a line parallel to the west line of
said Section 13, 1363.852 feet; thence south
89o34'08" west, 255.244 feet; thence south
00°00'32" east, 1319.228 feet to the True Point
of Beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 23d day of November, 1977, by the follow-
ing vote:
