I 'have included a memo detailing the staffing changes in the Fire Department due to several retiremems. The resulting promotions will occur at Station 1 on Friday, January 3, 1997 at 8:30 a.m. 2. Happy New Year BAKERSFIELD FIRE DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM DATE: December 20, 1996 .TO: Alan Tandy, City Manager FROM: Michael R. Kelly, Fire Chief SUBJECT: Promotions The following personnel will retire from the Bakersfield Fire by December 31, 1996: Henry Pacheco, Deputy Fire Chief Larry Graham, Battalion Chief Richard Harger, Captain William Lucas, Captain John Nagle, Captain Bob O'Rand, Captain These gentlemen have contributed 169 years and 2 months service to the City of Bakersfield. The promotions to fill the vacancies by these retirements will take place at Station 1, Friday January 3, 1997, 0830 hours in the squad room. The following personnel have been selected for promotions: Darrell Cooper, Battalion Chief Tyler Hartley, Captain Stephen Hollon, Captain Ross Kelly, Captain Joseph Rutledge, Captain John Weber, Captain Trever Martinusen, Engineer Jeff McEntire, Engineer Jerry Moffatt, Engineer Aaron Moore, Engineer Patrick Ponec, Engineer The promotion to fill the vacant Deputy Fire Chief position Will take place at a later date.
