My trip to the opening of the arena in West Valley, Utah was very worthwhile. I met a potential sponsor for our half house, or theatre, configuration. I also learned a great deal about what to do right and what to watch for, in connection with finishing the' building and opening. As a partial result, I'm going to be putting through as much of the FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) bids as early as possible. I'd rather warehouse material than try to open without key elements. 2. President Clinton did sign the bill that will result in bidding the Federal Building. We are trying to find out when that might occur, but do not know at this point. 3. We will be starting a parks and recreation survey in the community soon. If there are any program or facility issues you would like to have included, let me know, or call Stan Ford, please. 4. With "Up on the Roof" finished, we'll be hitting the downtown streetscape construction hard. 5. Attached for your information is the proposed fee schedule for sewer connections, which would be effective in July 1998, with a slight increase each year. This is tied to the upcoming bond issue that will complete the financing for the City's most expensive capital improvement project - financing of the Plant II and III expansions and associated trunk lines.
