A memo is enclosed regarding a Recreation and Parks survey that was distributed to City residents during November and December, 1997. Questionnaires were mailed to 200 randomly selected households in each ward, for a total of 1,400. The target response rate was 50%, as determined by previous studies. We received a total of 932 completed questionnaires, or 67%, with all wards exceeding the expected response rate. We will have the final results of the survey by March 1st. 2. We may, at long last, be making some progress with the County on mandatory collection. They put off the gate fee decision two months and seem to be giving consideration to the proposal of the thirteen cities. 3. Our annexation committee reports generally positive neighborhood meetings in Palm, Olive, Olive extended, and Castro. 4. A response to a Council referral regarding the status of a drainage problem in front of the Quality Inn on Oak Street is enclosed.
