1. The latest status report on the Panorama Burn Dump remediation project is enclosed.
Soil replacement has been completed and re-landscaping of the yards is currently
taking place.
2. Labor negotiations have had some solid progress and meetings continue along a
normal path.
3. We are, at staff level, heavily into the budget preparation process - a pretty normal
year and set of circumstances is projected.
4. The arena has changed remarkably since your recent tour, due to steel erection and
precast exterior walls going up.
5. Ogden has named the two key positions for the new arena - a press release copy is
enclosed.

SUBJECT: PANORAMA BURN DUMP PROGRESS REPORT
The burn dump remedial work began on schedule last week and is progressing very
well. Soil has already been replaced in the four backyards and one front yard which
needed remediation. Front yard re-landscaping will be complete today, and rear yard
fencing/re-landscaping will be done over the next two weeks. Soil samples for final
confirmation have already been sent to the lab, in order to expedite the final report
which should be done by the end of March. We anticipate final certification of the
'finished project by DTSC in late April.

Ogden Entertainment Announces Executive Appointments
at Bakersfield Centennial Garden
New York, NY -- Ogden Entertainment today announced two appointments at the
Bakersfield (CA) Centennial Gardens complex. James S. Foss was named Executive Director
and Scott Norton was named Marketing Director, Bakersfield Centennial Gardens is a new
10,000 seat arena scheduled to open in October '98 during the City's 100th birthday year.
The complex also includes the existing Baker, sfield Convention Center. In addition to
managing both venues, Ogden will also provide all food & beverage services, concessions
and executive suite and club room catering at the Bakerdield Centennial Garden.
James Foss, Executive Director, brings to his position in Bakersfield eight years of~
experience in the booking, operations, box office and marketing aspects of venue :
management. He rejoins Ogden Entertainment having sewed as Event Manager at the *
Hartford Civic Center where he handled the booking of over 180 events in the arena and
exhibition center, Just prior to the Bakersfield appointment, Foss was Director of Facility
Booking at the Hartford Civic Center, In addition, Foss was Operations Manager and
Marketing Event Coordinator at the Worceste.r (MA) Centrum and also had assisted with box
office operations.
Brad Mayne, Director of West Coast Operations for Ogden Entertainment, stated, ~'The
new arena and existing convention center Will benefit from Jim's experience and enthusiasm.

of-the-art, facility with an already committed schedule of events for both venues?
Scott Norton, Director of Marketing,' ~as. previously Sales Manager for Ogden
Entertainment at the Hartford Civic Center wh.ere he was responsible for venue signage
sales, event sponsorships and sponsor-relai~d ~romotions. ScOtt's venue management
marketing experience is complimented by bls previous poslti'en with the NHL Hartford
Whalers (now the Carolina Hurricanes) tn season ticket and SPonsorship sales. He was most
recently Key Account Manager for 5FX Broadcasting in Hartfo'rd, .CT, where he created and
implemented local market trade promotiOtl.~ for national consumer product manufacturers.
In making these, appointments Danny/zausner, Ogden Entertainment's Senior Vice'
President, stated, #Bakersfield Centennial G~rden is set to op':en in October. We're confident
that under the direction of Jim FOss, Scott Norton and the entire staff in Bakersfield will 'do
