AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SOUTH CHESTER
AVENUE AND PLANZ ROAD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Conmission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
northeast corner of South Chester Avenue and Planz Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the
hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning change
should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Amending the zoning boundaries from an R-1 (One
Family Dwelling) Zone and a C-2-D (Commercial-
Architectural Design) Zone to an MH (Mobilehome)
Zone of those certain properties in the City of
Bakersfield located on the northeast corner of
South Chester Avenue and Planz Road, being more
particularly described as follows:
All that portion of the west half of the south-
west quarter of the southeast quarter and the
west half of the east half of the southwest
quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 7,
Township 30 South, Range 28 East, Mount Diablo
Meridian, in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, according to the
Office Plan thereof, lying northeasterly of the
following described line:
Beginning at a point on the west boundary line
of the southeast quarter of said Section 7,
which point lies northerly a distance of 1437.43
feet from the southwest corner of the southeast
quarter of said Section 7, and running thence
south 28°18' east, a distance of 1631.67 feet
to a point on the south boundary line of said
Section 7, which point lies easterly, a distance
of 775.23 feet from the southwest corner of the
southeast quarter of said Section 7.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way within
South Chester Avenue.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
